SLOWLY BUT SURELY

July 28, 2008

Slowly but surely

As the sun rises from the East

So shall the Will of God

Be revealed in our hearts.

Slowly but surely

As the tide reaches the shore

So God’s revelation

Is unveiled more and more.

            No cloud can obscure

            The sun’s blazing rays

            No rock can obstruct

            The sea’s billowing waves

So slowly but surely

As the sun rises now

I know the Will of God

Will be revealed somehow.

IT’S A BEAUTIFUL MORNING!

July 28, 2008

It’s a beautiful morning

It’s a beautiful day

It’s a beautiful sunshine

Brightening up my day!

Arise and Shine

Live with Jesus today!

Arise and Shine

Live with Jesus – that’s the way!

Living with Jesus everyday.

MORNING WATCH

July 25, 2008

Have you not noticed the faithfulness of the morning sun?

It rises despite all else, this is how it’s programmed to run:

The rain may come and clouds may loom

The mist descends and greys out the room

The sun stays still and steers its rays at will

Piercing through what space it can find or fill

Between the clouds, rain or mist

It never skips a space or throw amiss.

MIDNIGHT HYMN

July 25, 2008

Sleep is a gift from God,

To keep the mind sober, To keep the body strong

To keep the spirit keen, From a day that seems far too long.

Sleep is our gift to God,

To mind the body, spirit and soul

So that God can find us responsive, able and whole.

Sleep helps us keep, mind and find,

Perfect Rest on God’s Open Nest.

MORNING MEDITATION

Psalm 64

10 Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD
       and take refuge in him;
       let all the upright in heart praise him!

Thank you Lord – you’re a refuge to us. Though we can’t always say we are the righteous one. You are the Righteous One. May i learn to abide in this Refuge – for only then will i find protection, preservation and rest. Even if i am not so upright = i will learn to praise you more. [Selah]

MORNING MEDITATION

Psalm 63

A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah.

 1 O God, you are my God,
       earnestly I seek you;
       my soul thirsts for you,
       my body longs for you,
       in a dry and weary land
       where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
       and beheld your power and your glory.

 3 Because your love is better than life,
       my lips will glorify you.

 4 I will praise you as long as I live,
       and in your name I will lift up my hands.

 5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
       with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

 6 On my bed I remember you;
       I think of you through the watches of the night.

 7 Because you are my help,
       I sing in the shadow of your wings.

 8 My soul clings to you;
       your right hand upholds me.

 9 They who seek my life will be destroyed;
       they will go down to the depths of the earth.

 10 They will be given over to the sword
       and become food for jackals.

 11 But the king will rejoice in God;
       all who swear by God’s name will praise him,
       while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

Learning to meditate upon Him: the adverbs & verbs used in this portion applicable to me: “ earnestly seek”, “thirsts”, “longs”, these are all in the present continuous tense. Past tense – have i seen / beheld Him? Again back to the present: can i praise Him, lift up my hands to Him? And lastly my soul “Clings” to you. This verb caused me to remember the moment in my life where i told the Lord that though i have chosen a path not to go for meetings for a period of time – i will still cling on to him.

Surely He is good to all who cling on to Him.

Persuasion

August 20, 2007

POSITIVE. How do we persuade positively? How do we influence positively. So many people around us needs this. We are all so negatively charged. A Positive hymn may work for starters.

Hello world!

August 20, 2007

Today’s thoughts are saved for a heritage, Stored for reflection, Penned not for perfection but because of our imperfection. To trace it would be an effort, to correct it would be a starting point of a good journey.
